I just kick them in the balls upon opening the door. They usually never come back.

#1 Yeah... the "TUPPERWARE LADIES" of their day..
..sans the coffee and Bundt Cake! smile smile smile smile smile

#2 Musta' been a hard job... cold-calling on busy housewives...
...and without-a-doubt UNDER-APPRECIATED

On the other hand:
I still have a wooden-handled/horse-hair
dust-broom (and steel dust-pan) that's been
in our family since before I was (in the family)
I still remember mom waking us up on the weekends...
...as clear as a BELL *CLANG*CLANG*CLANG*CLANG*

My point being... Couldn't kill a FULLER BRUSH
...even if you wanted to. smirk

(Ted has since replaced the steel dust-pan
with a much quieter plastic one...he's no fool)

Yeah we always gave away some trinkets if they answered the door !! Usually vegetable brush, etc. I bought a super hand brush from them, but lost it on one of my many moves around Lubbock..

One night around Thanksgiving I was out for about 4 hours and hadn't sold squat !! maybe $10-15 worth which wouldn't pay my hr fee ($5). The manager would always drop us off around 5 PM in a neighborhood, and pick us up at 9 PM... anyway it was bout 8:45 and I decide to make one last house before heading to the pick up spot... glad I did !! This lady was so happy to see me and she ordered about $120 worth of Christmas items !! Made my week !! I was stunned, so was the boss ! Anyway didn't keep that gig long... I was teaching days and moonlighting nights peddling stuff.... not a good career, but then neither was teaching in public schools !! Both were thankless jobs, and had piss poor wages !! tongue

Speaking of moonlighting teachers...
we had an ugly troll of a substitute
with a heart of gold. smile ... one day
Mrs. Eufer came to our door selling
sets of The World Book Encyclopedia.
She convinced my parents that they'd
be a great help to us kids in school
so our parents bought them for us. smile

It was single-handedly responsible for
what lanovami called me (which in the
context he'd used it, it was plainly not
meant as a compliment) when he called
me; "The Least Content-Challenged Member
of AppleCentral Forum". uh huh.. not only
did I read the entire Bible ..just out of
curiosity ..but most of the WB Encyclopedia
as well.

Thank You, Mrs. Eufer smile

Why do you insist on rehashing and stoking the fire?
Does everyone, every time they post, need to bring up the nasty, vicious things you have said?
This is indicative of why you are constantly at odds with everyone.... you can't let it go.

Let it go.
