We've been very lucky here in Central OH. I've only shoveled snow 3 or 4 times. One was 4", the rest 2" or less. We've had four or five single digit nights and two nights below zero, but no days below zero or single digit highs. Only two highs in the teens and the rest mid 20's and above. Been downright balmy.
I'm rather relieved to hear that since I'd been fretting over reports I'd been hearing about Columbus getting dumpt on a couple times... When you stopped posting for a while, I had visions of you digging out or w/o power.
As for me.. perhaps you'd heard about THE Blizzard of 2015 Hype
but actually, the Snow-Line ran right through my area.. but we only caught perhaps 4" of heavy stuff, and no "CATASTROPHIC WINDS" at all. We heard the bulk of the Arctic Blast stalled over Ohio, and the Nor'Easter died at Sea.
The GOOD Part of the Hype was that there were so many road crews pressed into service, slinging so much salt (that and the DECLARED STATE-OF-EMERGENCY SHUT-DOWN) that every street & parking lot was scraped clean down to the pavement within a few hours, and life returned to "Normal" by the next day
