When it rains, it pours.

Decided to clean my keyboard for my iMac. It's one of those silver/flat/metal ones that is USB powered. Love it.

So i got a piece of paper towel slightly damp and proceeded to clean it. Now it no longer works. I have a backup, older white one, but was hoping to get this keyboard back.

It's been 2 days, so it's dried out...not that I soaked it.

What is it doing? Nothing? Won't power up?

Possibly it is still damp? The tolerances around those keys are pretty tight... might still be holding moisture. Run a blow dryer across it maybe?

Should be dry by now. If it was unplugged getting wet wouldn't have hurt it.

Maybe a key is stuck? Have you tried running your palm over all of the keys?

If it was plugged in it could have shorted something out.

Yeah, I'm thinking that is what happened.
