Whilst it's a huge relief to step from an ailing iPhone 4 to a 6, there are a few things that are really pissing me off about the iPhone 6.

• No multitasking gestures? Really?
• No option to turn off 3G (I have no 3G signal here, so my phone is basically wasting battery all day and night forlornly going "...hello? 3G? ...hello? ...are you there?"
• Sleep button moved from top to RH side (I assume it's because it would have got in the way of the bigger camera hardware), which is great for right-handers, and a bloody nuisance for us southpaws - more than half the time, I end up changing the volume instead of putting the phone to sleep.

If it's brokenless, don't suffix it...

The 3G thing, the plot thickens - Apple says it's a carrier issue, O2 says it's an Apple issue... trala...

Those of you with iPhone 6 and different carriers, does your carrier let you deselect 3G?

While this is a site for hackers.. the last line before chart is interesting.

The good news is that Apple is indeed listening to feedback and complaints, as iOS 8.1 which was seeded to developers two days back, will give users the option to either select LTE, 3G or 2G, which should address these concerns.

Only the sleep button has anything to do with the iPhone 6, the rest is software related.

I think Apple moved it to the side because both phones are bigger than previous iPhones. I am a righty and still hit the volume buttons instead some times, but I'm getting used to it.

According to NG's link to the Apple thread even though the release notes for 8.1 say it's there, the toggle for band seems to be a really mixed bag, with no pattern when it comes to what phones or carriers it shows up on.

Under Settings/General/About does it offer a Carrier update?

Apple officially confirmed that (in this country, anyway) there's no option to turn off the 3G. I'm sure once I can jailbreak it, that will cease to be a problem smile.

Yes, multitasking gestures were originally iPad, but I was expecting them to appear for these larger screens. I'm so used to using them, it's most annoying to find myself doing that and nothing happening.

No carrier update available.

I wonder if those gestures are available on the 6+.
