Did it Friday. Got rid of the Portrait to Landscape bug in Safari on my 4S. Sometimes I had to toggle Portrait to Landscape to get it to go to Landscape. We'll see if the Messages bug is gone, when making a new message sometimes it said Unknown at the top instead of New Message. In general the phone seemed a wee bit slower with 8.0 but by no means a deal breaker. 8.0.2 brought most of it back. Pull the trigger I say.

Yep. Doing it on my daughters iPad first. 4+ hours to download... 10 minutes left.

So much quicker going through iTunes. My 4S took about an hour 15 or so from start of download to back up and running.

I don't get it. Why was mine so quick?
I backed up everything before, downloaded through iTunes, and was up and running in ½ an hour.

That was thru iTunes.

Installed and looks good.
There has always been a problem with Other.
If you look at the graph of what is on your device... Other presents a problem for a lot of people. Just Goggle iPad Other.
Anywhoo.. I was about to do a Restore as New after this update and manually set everything up on the iPad... but this update fixed it.
Other went from 7.3 GB down to 1.05
On a 32GB device.. that was about 25% of the space.

"Other" is pissing me off.
Organizing files and apps used to be more of a Windows thing, but I find myself doing a lot more maintenance than I used too.
