PC gone way too far. A flap over an advertisement for bacon just because of one woman who is a vegan Muslim. She said it was insensitive to their diverse population. I look it at as she is doing the same just because some people are not like her.
she comes-off like one of those radical vegan a-holes not unlike the anti-cruelty activists who throw paint on people wearing fur coats.
I have lots of close friends who are practicing vegetarians, ...for the most part, they're just like everyone else... you wouldn't even know that about them unless you choose to share a meal with them... even then, they never push their views on me (and I assume anyone else) they simply order a salad plate and thoughtfully chew their cud, and leave the rest of us eat our steak.
IMHO Recent converts (like Recent PItA "QUITTERS") to just about every order tend to be overly zealous.
Earlier this week we saw the media obsessing over "knee-defenders" which caused an airline emergency landing and an onslaught of media-hyped belligerent passenger rage from bullying anti-decline patriots and the over dramatics of decline-denied "victims" ... seems it's time to move on to Vegan Jihadists and Bacon Nazis ....
Yep AGREED ! They should NOT have kowtowed… so if the lady didn't like seeing bacon… doan FK-ing eat it !! <snip> As far as the lady is concerned, to placate her I'd give her a coupon for a FREE Lunch !! BLT !!
In a nearby town, there is a good restaurant that is operated by an Indian ( from India) family. All their listed menu items listed as pork are turkey versions. Turkey ham and turkey bacon for example. I have no problem with it. They make unbelievable salads. Other entres are good also. Great service
(I think they are from India. From that region or Middle East somewhere. I really don't care as they put out a good spread) Dave

If we don't count our blessings We are just wasting our time
IF it tastes good and I don't notice it's not pork - I don't care…

We had a restaurant near CDC called Cafe Bombay… $10 buffet ! DANG it was awesome !! The downside was after lunch I couldn't get a lick of work done… too miserable from over eating… the serotonin and melatonin kicked in too !!!
