Man, I hope you aren't just figuring this out? Yes Cel, a disconnect in time zones and yes, even culture, from being so far away having a possible effect on Marv's posting as it does myself had already occurred to me. The guy has been around for, what, like 5 years? Even before we knew where he was from, I noticed the fact that Marv and I often have posts timed closely to each other.
If you are away from the forum for a few years, it is going to take you a while to get caught up on things, no?
...think about it

Yep, Carp was often the only one up (or at least posting) when I was. It is also yesterday for him compared to me, but he is even more behind, which comes out to being only a few hours behind me, but on the previous day. Yep, miss Carp.

Too bad you decided to smart-arse Treebeard into leaving again with your sassy (mean) BS about "thought you were 'never coming back'" remark after it took me literally YEARS to talk him into ever posting here again...
...not only was he in the same Time-Zone and more than your intellectual match (being the son of, father to, and husband of a teacher) but ~TA-DA~ the same caring person who fought over what was happening to people Losing Their Lives to an Earthquake & Tsunami... DUH!
Shocking that you Never Seemed to Put the 2 Together.
Like I'd asked before: "Was That SNARK Really Necessary?"
Gah! More Bully-Shyte! Like having to watch people dish out insults rather risk being accused of having "...no sense-of-humor"
Similar: "You need to get out more!" or snark-ier still; "GET A LIFE!"
I'd Love To... ...but for now I've left this apartment 6 times ** in the past 2 months... twice to the ER, and four more outtings to various follow-up visits (One just yesterday, thank you )
So yeah... I do take the on-line friends left in my life a-bit-too seriously at times... we also stay in touch by phone and we even exchange gifts via snail mail.
**oops... I lied. I was taken to my sister-in-law's funeral last month ...but had to stay in the car during the burial... ...er that's the grounds crew filling in Mary's grave ... I didn't see the grave site until we drove by on the way out.

Uh huh. I am well aware of your health problems and considered you don't get out as much as you'd like - all the more reason not to take this all so seriously. Call it bullshyte if you like, that's my call.
You may take your online friends left in your life seriously, no worries, but you also take your online enemies pretty seriously too now don't you? Is it that you need an arch-enemy? So soon after Steve's sabbatical? I have zero desire to arch you full time, so can we cease and desist? Move on. Nothing more to see here.

Don't need nor ever wanted "an arch" my point was to let you in on the fact that your "starting something" whenever you're bored does more harm than perhaps you're aware of.
