I was just considering updating to Mavericks when I saw a page about Yosemite. Is this what is coming next? (I'm still on Mountain Lion) Should I update to Mavericks or just wait a little longer for Yosemite? I have a MacBook Air (2010) which is just for personal use- no work stuff on it. Thanks for any help you can give.
Thanks for your input. We just got back from camping in Yosemite and I'm loving the picture they use! Of course, that's no reason to choose an operating system, but I'm afraid I'm one of those people who do just that!
If Yosemite runs on that MBAir at all, it's more than likely going to run slower than Mavericks.
If you install Mavericks now, you can save the installer for later re-install. Then install Yosemite when it's released to compare it with Mavericks. If it runs better, keep it. If not, you'll have no problem using the Mavericks installer to downgrade.
