After being hosed by the Now company I have continued to use Now Contact until this week when i needed to finally update to a new iMac.

I dont need a calendar - I need a contact app that allows me to merge letters, print labels, etc. It is used to keep the addresses and contacts for the members of a boys club.

I have tried Apple iworks but that is horrible for something like this. I considered Bento prior to that closing down but that didn't print labels or letters.,

what is out there that does not cost hundreds of dollars?

I don't know if this will help, but, I'll try…
Apple Contacts/Address Book Application. Print settings.
There are various settings that might help.

Busymac.com [created by the original developers of Now-Up-To-Date and Contact] just released BusyCal 2.6.4 and BusyContacts 1.0. These are the modernized versions of Now-Up-To-Date and Contact for which we've been waiting years. Yay!

The key now is how to convert from NUTD and C to BusyCal and BusyContacts.

BusyCal and BusyContacts are powerful in that they also synchronize with Office365 and iCloud. So you now have the capability of updating your calendars on your iPhones and iPads and all your Macs.
