It was called Minimize In Place...it was a feature in a 10.2 developer build, I can't remember which builds they were, but they pulled it before introducing Jaguar. There's a way to get it back in with instructions kicking around, it may have even been covered here a while ago.<br><br>

I had some of those builds with MIP, and while it was oooh and aaahh cool, it really didn't serve any other purpose. I understand Apple yanking it for simplicity's sake. That's why Piles makes zero sense to me.<br><br>
