So the only thing I ever watched on cable was Turner Classic Movies (and the 49ers), so I was excited to hear the came out with an App that broadcast both East and West coast feeds. since my Step Dad has cable, I subscribed using his billing account. He hates TCM, because it doesn't have commercials, so I figured, hey. Why not?

Sure enough, works great on my iPhone.

Only problem is, it won't Airplay to AppleTV. Audio only.
I guess that's to prevent a-holes like me from getting free TCM.

Thing is, why would you get an App that only shows up on a small device, when you can watch it on the big screen? For on the road, I guess…

Oh well. So close…

Actually, I use the app when out of the house to see what's on currently, and what the schedule is like for the rest of the day. Also, since the place where we lunch often has TCM on the tube, and it's a good way to see what the cast is, etc.

But yeah, if you're home, the cable guide will tell you much of what the app will. And of course watching at home beats the small screen any day ;-)

As a guide, it's great! I get to look at all the stuff I can't watch! wink

This will be good when I'm away. The iPhone has a better screen than the TV's in hotels I've stayed at.

It's probably much better on an iPad or iPad Mini. wink
