Being all the way over and far away from friends and family, FB is somewhat of a lifeline. I'll forgive its shortcomings. I don't think I have the problem Reboot is. My big problem recently is FB keeps having me "follow" people that I never clicked to follow. Then I get notifications for all kinds of things people post that I don't need to see.

I like FB, for the most part. There are things about it that are definitely not cool. But it's a convenient way for me to keep in touch with old students. A couple of the student clubs I sponsor have a FB presence too, and I'm sort of the gatekeeper for one of them. There is a lot of stupid stuff on FB. The trick is to ignore it.

It must be a cookie thing, since the pref doesn't stick. I, too, dumped the app from my phone, since it became more and more unstable and unresponsive over time. I simply go at it via Safari on the iPhone. I also like the Paper app, but that doesn't have a sort option either.
