Click.

Looks like OS X 10.10 Yosemite will run on anything that Mavericks tried to run on.

They are also releasing a public beta of Yosemite this summer, guess they're going to let us be R&D. Hopefully it will be more stable than Mavericks by doing that.

I really have had no problems at all with Mavericks. I may just be lucky, or it may be that I don't use the apps that make for the problems. But on the whole, I'm pretty happy with Mavericks. I'm sort of uneasy with Yosemite, though--I hate being disturbed by my phone, and now it looks like it's going to be even more intrusive.

From what I've read you can turn most of that off.

I signed up for it. I'll install it on a backup drive and see what's what.

Sorry, Bozo, tech moves on.
Personally, I love everything I saw at WWDC.
I just hope it works! smirk

Oh, I'll be upgrading my phone soon enough. I just won't be first in line for iOS8. wink

When I got my 4S two years ago (left my 3Gs at a bank in the hood cry) I paid the extra $50 or so to get the 4S instead of the 4, seemed like a good deal for something that was almost two years newer in technology. I actually got the 4 at first then after thinking about it for a couple of days took it back to get the 4S.

IMO when it comes to tech purchases trying to save a small amount up front by buying old technology doesn't pay off in the long run.

At the time that I got my 4, it was 2 generations old. It cost me $50 and it has been a really good phone. I'm up for an upgrade, but I'm going to wait for the 6 release to decide on a 6 or a discounted 5s.

I have Yosemite dev preview on my 2011 MBAir and it's pretty cool. Many of the features aren't there yet, or don't work yet, but you can definitely see what the future is bringing. I like it.

What I DON'T like is the killing off of iPhoto. It's not that I love iPhoto, in fact I hate it. But not knowing much at all about the new Photos app NOW, makes me a bit uneasy. This isn't like they're killing off Pages - where I could simply save all those documents as text files or Word docs. This is over a decade of family photos, carefully edited and organized.

I just hope Photos isn't half baked at introduction.
If they are combining Aperture and iPhoto, they had better have an easy way to import from both apps without losing ANY information.
If it doesn't work perfectly right off the bat, there will be a mass exodus to the competition.

Yosemite is looking pretty cool, though!
