Late yesterday afternoon the sky looked like it was a/b to split open and rain down fire and brimstone. Flash flood warnings on my iPhone and the TV through much of the night. Yet nary a drop ever fell. A few distant lighting flashes and a faint rumble here and there. Go figger…
It wasn't so bad here in town, Jim. A friend of mine across in the western suburbs had her living room windows smashed, her living room flooded (I've never, but never seen rain come down so hard--and I've been through hurricanes, and FL thunder storms!), and her car windshield pummeled into little pieces. We had no damage at all.
