Only 4.5 Y.O. Took him to the vet on April 10 for a knot on his right side. 6 weeks later cancer had taken over 80% of his lungs. Breathing became labored. Sent him off tonight.
If he never new a cat he didn't like I'd have a solo head shot. He was rarely alone, by choice. Cats all have their unique personality, but he was really cool, vocal, and social. He used up his 9 lives too quick. In a week he went from the kitty in the window enjoying spring to room temperature.
Dayam. It's especially hard to lose them when they're young. When I was in NYC, I had to put down my amazing white Persian, Fluffy, when he was only 15 months old. Major heart disease. I still miss that guy.
Again, it's interesting how the dynamics of the colony changes with every loss. Down to 8. They are fascinating creatures. Cats rule, dogs drool. I love the puppies too, only you have to walk them rain shine or whatever.
Cats can survive for the weekend with a big bowl of food and an open toilet.
