Last year about June, my brother who had lived in Gas ks, 3 miles from here, had his house and all furnishings burn. My brother, siter in law and Nephew then bought a mobile home and moved it just outside Baxter Springs ks about 100 mile south just inside the Oklahoma border. They had just got settled in when just a couple months ago he caught pneumonia and was in the hospital wen he passed away. My sister in law just a week later then died also. He was 84 and she was 80.
Last night a tornado a block wide blew though Baxter Springs destroying many houses and businesses. No one was killed but some were injured. But others in surrounding communities weren't so lucky.
There was quite a bunch on the border of Oklahoma and extending into Arkansas. Also just to the east of us in the county adjacent to Missouri and east had some wind. Hope this is not a harbinger of things to come this year but think it might. Thank goodness I've been living right so I will be spared
If we don't count our blessings We are just wasting our time
