In the link it quotes "gov Brownback won't always be governor"
Oh god I hope not.
But, it mentions that the GOP in each state wants to insure that poor people will be uninsured. Well, that's not exactly what the GOP wants. The GOP has nothing against poor people, generally. That's not why they oppose Obamacare. They oppose it because it's a democrat enacted program. The GOP would be against anything the democrats do
There are 10 kinds of people. Those that understand binary and those that don't.
If they had nothing against the poor and the middle class, they would — despite their disagreements with Dems and their hatred of Obama — vote to raise the minimum wage; reinstate emergency UI benefits; restore the cuts to SNAP; expand Medicaid and establish ACA exchanges in all states; vote on a jobs bill; back off of women's reproductive rights which are indeed an economic issue; and support pay equity for women.
No, their disdain for the 99% is it's own beast altogether.
What we are seeing is the evolution of a new race: Doublenines. Yup the 99%-ers. The un-monied. The poor and middle class. Because we're easy to repress. Easy to discriminate against. And easy to ignore. If we're not rich, it's our own dang fault. So what's next? Debtors' prisons (privatized, natcherly)? Actual poor houses?
