The ones at FWB aren't mine (I think, never heard about it before).

The history in a nutshell...

I doodle at work and come up with a cute way to make a glassy button, with a sharp highlight instead of a fuzzy one like the close/minimize/maximize buttons have. I make a bunch for my company to be used on disks we send out and share a bunch with friends. At a friend's request, I enter and win the Speed Download icon contest. I put up a site (the idea was to serve pixels like a sodajerk from the 50s, though I scrap the diner motif). Emails everyday about freelancing/XP icons/requests. It's just a hobby, so I decline money offers but make stuff for freeware developers. I make an Adium set for someone that mislead me to believe he was the developer. Steaming mad, I send the real developer a note and he includes them anyway 'cos he's a nice guy. My icons are featured in a couple Japanese magazines, including MacPower, and my stuff appears only pages away from a few shareware apps using my exact icons. The angst grows. More of my stuff pops up all over the net, many people using them for shareware or simply taking credit for them on XP customize sites. Xicons is flooded with XButton knockoffs almost daily, making any new buttons of mine look like a joke. Makers of Speed Download want me to make icons for v3 of their software. I relent and quote a price - they d!ck around by not knowing what they want. After several emails and icons later, I tell them to pound sand. The camel's back is broken and Pixeljerk is gone. Phew....

The End. (or is it? Mu ha ha ha ha!)

Sorry to hear that. I loved the XButton collections... still use a few of them. It's too bad a few losers have kept the rest of the mac world from enjoying your work.
