Well, Xicons has become a complete wasteland. I shouldn't put down other peoples creativity... but as of late, pretty much all that can be said in a 128X128 space has been said. I haven't seen any new icons in a while that really knocked my socks off. It's almost too bad that X uses photorealistic icons, 'cos any schmuck with Photoshop, an icon making app, and two fingers to copy and paste thinks they can do it. And if I see one more icon using my glassy button style I'm gonna flip out. Hell, even Netscape uses it.

Iconfactory's World of Aqua and Smoothicons are probably the best I've ever seen. Their CandyBar stuff rocks. RAD-E8 has some neat stuff, but like Hein, the guy suffers from going overboard with that bright white highlight (it rhymes!) on everything.

I am using icons from RAD-E8 right now. I like the Snow.E icons to go with my brushed metal theme. However I do agree that too many artists are using the "bubble/white highlights" idea right now...

I know you do icons, but I'm sorry to say that I can't remember your web site (I used to have it bookmarked I thought). What is it?
