If I were to want to convert a QuickTime .mov file to a format to burn a DVD that would play on a DVD player, would that be DV stream? Using QT 7, of course. Or, will iMovie import the .mov and then export it to iDVD? I also have Toast 10 Titanium.
I like to go File/Save as Disc Image first, just to save on DVDs in case something doesn't work out, and to check the conversion. When done mount the disc image. If it plays in DVD Player burn it to disc with Toast, Copy/Image File. For good measure I unmount the disc image before burning.
Or live dangerously and just drop the mov on Toast, Video/DVD-Video and burn baby burn.
Yeah. She'll need to be able to select individual files to play when she needs them.
Yeah, each mov file is a separate menu item. Toast makes it so much easier than the iApps IMO. Toast may not have all the whiz-bang "looks like a Hollywood B movie" menu effects iDVD had, and the GUI in iMovie and iDVD sucked IMO, large learning curve. Too many steps to go from mov to DVD.
