Kinda extreme but is he willing to take a lie detecter's test ? NOT that that will prove innocence but might prove guilt. I'm not in favor of zero tolerance... should be applied in some cases but not all... that's the defect of zero tolerance. Needs to be on a case by case basis.
What ever happened to a reprimand... expulsion is kinda extreme esp. if it was a silly error on the kids part. Kids don't always think logically... so we judge a kid by an adults logic... ?? Hell many adults do stupid things... just look at CPAC !!
Seems to me if the kid is inclined towards or considering a gang, all this did was PUSH him towards them !! It's NOT likely to be a deterrent !!
