My car really doesn't have a spot to place the phone where the screen is easy to see (for the times that I may want to look at it), so I just ordered one of these, which'll give me a heads-up mount on the dash.
What makes you think I would leave my phone in the car? And I don't think a sub-$20 pod is theft bait. I mean, when closed, it looks like an ashtray. Maybe thieves in your town are just really hard up?
I've seen your car. If you put the same phone mount in it, it might be worth another $10!
I never locked my old Odyssey. Partly because the key fob never worked and evidently, the previous owner had changed the lock on the driver's door, so the key didn't fit the other doors or the tailgate. And like you, I never left anything of value in it. Same with the Benz — I don't leave anything valuable in it, and the only reason I lock it is because the fob works! Besides, a 14 y-o car ain't 'zakly theft-bait either.
