There was this single traveling salesman who had really bad back problems. So he went to his doctor and the doctor said he needed to put a piece of plywood on his bed and this stiff board would solve his back problems. The only problem the salesman had was that when he traveled (which was often) how would he carry the board around with him? He could not take it on a plane, so he decided to travel by train.
On one of his trips, he met this attractive woman in the dining car and they struck up a conversation and hit it off very well. After a couple hours, the Porter came in and said that all the beds were ready and that the passengers could head to the sleeping car. It turned out that both of their births were upper bunks and across from one another. So they both got up into their beds and closed the curtains. The salesman removed all his clothing, and then whispered over to the lady across the aisle, "come over to my bunk". She said "OK, but how my going to get across?" He said "don't worry I have something long and stiff you can crawl across!" A man in another birth overheard them and replied "yeah, but how she going to get back!"
