Yeah, I played around with it a year or two ago -- pretty neat, although at that time performance was a bit clunky. Hopefully they've been able to speed things up since then =)
The main drawback as I see it is that it's not a physical connection so it might be subject to the whims of your wireless network (or any interference thereof). Not a deal-breaker but might be something to consider =)
Never heard of it before today. And had it not been highlighted in Direct Marketing News as App of the Month, I'd still be unaware of it. I don't own a tablet and I have a 27" display, so it's not something I need. But it sure looks nifty.
I've been using dual displays for years, but not on an iPad You're quite right about the productivity factor it's how I accomplish the multiple hotlinks & images... it was a cinch with a desktop extended to 50 inches wide... coupled with my Turbo Pro Trackball, I could whiz across all 50 inches with the touch of a fingertip, and get direct links to favorite folders and URLs with the touch of one of my 10 buttons.
I recently unhooked the second display.. I miss it like crazy.. I'll prolly hook it up again once I'm set up in my new digs.
