.
What he did to the Mayor of Fort Lee
was meant to Send A Message to OTHERS
of "How Life Can Be Made 'DIFFICULT'"
for anyone who withheld an endorsement
for BOTH His Gov. AND Presidential Bid.

What the Media is so far overlooking in their search
for reasons and answers into "Who, Why, When & Where"
IS * INDEED * "WHERE" --- plain and simple ---

THE MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK! Where they could inflict the
Maximum amount of damage using the least amount of effort.

All He had To Do Was Have HIS MAN On The INSIDE
Of Port Authority CLOSE 4 of the 5 TOLL BOOTHS
In Order To Achieve 4 Days of ABSOLUTE CHAOS!**

IT WAS A STRATEGIC STRIKE ON WHERE THEY COULD SEND
AN UNMISTAKABLE MESSAGE TO ANYONE ELSE WHO'D EVER
DARE "CROSS HIM" By Standing in the Way of HIS Ambitions.

When you think about it... it was absolutely BRILLIANT!
...UNLESS , of course, THEY GOT CAUGHT...

**It would have done Tony Soprano proud had he been here to see it! grin

Rachel Maddow had a different …and more logical … take on the situation. This was payback for the state senate democrats blocking Christie's appointtees after he trashed a democratic Supreme Court justice's lifetime appointment in 2010. Christie lashed out publicly the afternoon prior to the bridge shutdown. Christie was so pissed he blocked the lifetime appointment of another supreme court justice, a republican and his friend, just to spite the democrats! He let loose on the state's sentate democrats, the senate leader directly. The Senate leader's district is Fort Lee. The memo went out at 7am the next morning to cause some traffic.

Very possible the Fort Lee mayor's endorsement is the media barking up the wrong tree.

It's that it happened more than why. I still can't say he was hands-on, but I have no doubt he had at least some knowledge of it. A common trait among bullies is to be manipulative — and it's easy to see how he manipulated his people into doing this. And now he's trying to paint himself as the victim. More manipulation. But this time, I think it's gonna be No Sale, Guv!

Reagan-esque "Plausible Deniability"

His long time chum (and Port Authority appointee)
may have pointed out the Bridge's vulnerability
and ran a "What-If" passed him... I can picture
him complimenting his staff's deviousness... but
adding; "Whatever, just make sure I don't know
anything about it when it happens."

Yeah I think Wildstein took the 5th yesterday so he can make a deal with NJ, NY, and the Fed authorities to come clean (read spill the beans) and be immune to prosecution !! and this doesn't include Bridget Anne Kelly who could do the same.

IF I were CC, I'd be VERY worried !!!

IF CC, is directly linked or ordered it (Nixon)... I can see him resigning as Guv of Joy-sie !! Forget the POTUS nomination... and most GOP leaders are happy with his hiatus ! 1 less competitor !

If I were Wildstein (...and thankfully I'm not... grin )
I'd be even MORE worried..
..about accidently choking to death on my lemonade...
(or hanging myself w/my hands tried behind my back)

Like CC sed...
..."Dis ain't 'BeanBag' we're playin' here!"

Doano about the rest of the USofA
...but New Jersey/Chicago Politicians 'Play for Keepers'.

...and YES..
Funny that you again refer to "Tricky Dick" Nixon
...since this is indeed blossoming into another of
those seemingly trivial tales (like the simple break-in
which barely broke as a back-page-story) looming on
CC's horizon threatening to become his "WATERGATE"
