Recently, I've been having connection difficulties in connecting to my wife's Mini on our home wi-fi. Her Mini can connect to mine, but I have to reboot either my Mini or the router in order to establish a connection the her Mini. Wondering what gives. smirk

So internet is fine on both, she can file share from hers to yours, you just can't file share from yours to hers?

Or are you talking about screen sharing between the two?

Rebooting her mini doesn't help? If it does't then it sounds like something going on with your computer's wireless. You are both on wi-fi?

Can you use an ethernet cable on yours temporarily and disable wifi?

My Mini is connected to the router via ethernet. Her's is wi-fi. Yes, both have internet connections and rebooting her Mini had no effect. Yes, her's connects to mine readily. It's mine that just sits there with the spinning gear and stating "connecting." It just never fully connects. Also had a total freeze today. It took a hard shutdown and restart to correct that.

Booted into my diagnostic volume/system, ran DW revealing no problems, connected right up. It must be something in my regular system. Are there any plists I should try deleting to see if that is the problem? It does "see" her Mini on the network, but doesn't connect for some reason. Booting back to that now to see what happens. I hope it isn't a router problem, but that would be preferable to a computer problem.

Connected right up after booting back to my primary system.

Seems to be a problem after waking from sleep (the computer - not me).

Ah-ha! I put the computer to sleep and then woke it. It doesn't complete the connection.

This is what I get:

I'm waiting to see if it times out now.

It finally connected after about 5 minutes. Odd.

Make that 10 minutes. Yeesh!
