I think that there's lots of reason to be wary of the Clintons, boy and girl both. They're founding members of the "New Democrats," who made the party electorally competitive by hauling it over to the right pretty hard. Obama follows suit, more or less. The result is really that there is not real liberal party in the US. Maybe that's inevitable, I don't know.
