Obviously Wal-Mart is for the maniacs and desperate people. Also for the people who are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table... so a few dollars saved is paramount.
On the flip side...we went to Kohls at 8:00 on Turkey day. We had already left the family feast/gathering so it didn't impinge on our celebration.
We showed up 5 minutes before opening (took about 6 minutes to get everyone inside).... bought $380 of stuff valued at nearly double and they gave us $15.00 of "Kohl Cash" coupon for every 50 we spent.. so we ended up with a cash coupon of $105 to be spent between Dec 2-9.
Nearly $700 in merch and when you subtract the $105 Kohls cash it's about $275.00 New comforter set looks great on the bed too!
No fights... no yelling. People seemed friendly and were enjoying shopping for deals. The worst thing that happened was that there weren't enough shopping carts to go around.

In Philadelphia, a brawl that broke out at around 2:30 a.m. Friday at the Franklin Mills Mall ended with one woman using a stun gun device on another, according to eyewitness Mike Napolitano, who captured part of the melee on video.
There's an infant inside the carriage. Fight happened 2:30am. WTF?!?!?!?
