Yep. Shawshank Redemption is a favorite,
I read somewhere that in the book, Tim Robins character was actually guilty of his murder. I wonder how that worked with that kid he tutored in prison ?

Andy Dufresne was one of the few men in Shawshank Prison who was actually innocent.
(I happen to be holding a copy of the book it's taken from ri'chere in my hot lil' hand.) Two of my favorite short stories-become movies Taken from the same Stephen King book, Different Seasons
"Shawshank Redemption" (Hope Springs Eternal: Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption)
"Stand By Me" (Fall From Innocence: The Body)
My other favorite Stephen King Book/Movie is "The Green Mile" That is counted among my "DON'T MISS" Tom Hanks Movies

In fact the only difference between the book & movie is that Morgan Freeman's character, "Red" is a Red-Headed Irishman in the book... ...if you listen carefully, when Tim Ribbons ("Andy") first meets "Red" in the Movie, he asks "Why 'RED'?" ..to which Morgan Freeman gives a little shrug, replying "Maybe it's because I'm Irish."
