I had Geography all through junior high. Always got an A or B on report card. I am ashamed to admit, that for some strange reason, I thought the Philippines was one big island. Had no clue it was chopped up like Hawaii. *hanging head in shame*

I am still shocked that your town has power. The news outlets make no mention of anyone traveling to the towns that do! You do see a few folks catching flights. Unknown if they are flying out of the country or some other part of the Philippines.
I am glad that your region of your country did not share the horrendous devastation of many of the 7,107 islands that your country is comprised of....along with approximately 98 million people that have had their world turned up side down. Thanks to Cel for posting this information. I can see more clearly how hard it will be to get the help that is so desperately needed.
