I couldn't get my iPhone to backup to my new Macbook Pro after using Migration Assistant. There are several threads about this on the Apple Support forums but the solution that worked for me was re-naming the backup folder. The folder is in user/library/application support/mobile sync. It might come in handy some day. I just changed it from backup to backup1.
I am reading a book about anti-gravity. It is really hard to put down.
Too me. The reason being restoring and updating from the computer is quicker although I only had to do that when buying a new phone so far.
I also don't pay for the extra disk space to store my photos in the cloud, I import them into iPhoto. My HD is backed up to SuperDuper, TimeMachine, and CrashPlan for off site coverage so the photos are safe.
