Nothing can make my little 450 sq ft condo smell like a real home rather than a place to rest my head than fried potatoes and onions.

Fried up some tonight, used honey gold potatoes from California, small size with a butter like taste, purple and white onions sliced and diced and a hand full of diced red and green bell peppers all fried in butter. Then add in a pot of orange spice hot tea...now it smells real homey in here

I had fried spuds and eggs Thursday morning also. I don't care so much with the peppers in with my potatoes. Just the potatoes and onions . I used plain russets and yellow onions fried in olive oile

My favorite line from "Popeye" The Movie
starring Robin Williams & Shelly Duval

Popeye (having just met Olive's Family,
(The Oyls: Cole, Nana, Diesel & Castor)
finds an abandoned baby and he & Olive
argue over what to name him. Popeye sez
"Swee'pea" which Olive calls ridiculous!
Popeye (Robin) grabs the baby and walks
away mumbling, "What was you gonna' call
him..... 'Baby Oyl'?" smirk

80/20 mix is good but 85/15 ground beef is better, more lean

SERIOUSLY!
Butchers go so far as to intentionally ADD that
percentage of fat back into the mix...otherwise
the burger tends to be tough and dry and even
break apart while cooking.

Furthermore... our taste-buds are prejudice
toward the fattier cuts of meat by evolution.
Our preferences evolved before civilization..
Historically, we needed to use every calorie
we could get just to chase-down our next meal,
Survival favored winning the fattier portions.

All to say: FAT TASTES GOOD! That's why the
"TASTIEST" cuts of meat are "Marbled" w/FAT.

Of course now-a-days, in our sedentary lives,
what once kept us alive, now kills us.
We're forced to run-our-azz-off on a tread-
mill just to push the gobs of fat though our
narrow, under-developed, clogged arteries.
