Ok, so you made me go outside and check the mail and get outside of my wifi zone

Ah, I see what's happening. Before, the wireless icon was in addition to the network icon. Now it's replacing the network icon when using a wireless network.

Thanks for going the extra mile -- sorry to make you go outside and enjoy the day a little ;-)

i like everything so far in the OS itself. There are some things I don't like about the upgraded apps, like the NY Times iPad app, which is clunkier than the previous version (IMHO). But I really do like the OS changes. The tinker toy look--I don't see it that way, I guess.

Voice recognition finally doesn't automatically start in caps when adding something to a sentence. It always made the first letter a cap. Now it recognizes that there is no period so you probably don't want a cap. I use VR a lot so it bugged me every day many times. They took their time fixing it but at least they did.

I use VR a lot too. It actually works pretty well in Japanese too even with my less than native intonation. A lot better than typing in accuracy surprisingly. Glad to hear its even better now but I haven't tried it yet.

Lock screen - swipe the entire screen rather than the "old," much smaller slider. As someone else has stated, the pass code entry is much more accurate.

Mail is much better. In 6 mine would sit there many times saying Updating and I couldn't do anything with Mail till it got done. I even cleared out most of my Mail from the phone.

Can you set that only update over wifi? If not data usage/charges could soar.
And if so.. where?

I believe it only updates over a strong wi-fi connection. My data usage has not changed.
