Agreed completely. It is for a bunch of yentas and nothing else.
Really? Shows how little you know....
I know a few people are really into Facebook. Well, millions , are. So that's a few. But, for me, at least, I've just not gotten to it much. Also, it seems that Facebook has become so pervasive into every thing we do on the interwebs .
There are 10 kinds of people. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Can't stand that when I visit websites, I see my cyclops avatar asking me to sign in with Facebook. I signed up because that's where my friends are, plus I have to manage my works business page. I love loath and hate it all at the same time!
Uh... guys.. I'm not saying you should use it or whatever. But for someone to say it's for yentas is just stupid. My family and I use it to keep in touch and post photos of things as they happen and we all enjoy. Some use for event planning and parties. I was just invited to a gallery showing of a friends photography. People use FB to run and advertise their businesses... and so on. News articles... politics.. photos.. art.. comics...all the same crap you see on here actually.
I can tell you this... no one I know is using it for gossiping and being a yenta.
