I was in the Delacorte' Theater in Central Park, listening
to The Chambers Brothers do "TIME (Has Come Today)"
for the very first time. They*Brought*The*House*Down!

I was 8 years old, watching Laugh In, and listening to my sisters Beatles records.

In Chicago, watching the riots on TV and listening to Disraeli Gears by Cream.

T’weren’t a serious question
just a way of opening a thread
but had it been a serious question:

I had just left High School to get married,
moved to the East Village (Greenwich Village)
robbed and dumpt by the guy who I was to marry
paling around with my HS SweetHeart & HIS Husband
Dancing nightly at The Stonewall Inn in the West Village,
Selling drugs to make a living, being shot at by the Mafia,
the FBI, AND The Hell’s Angels...all over the Same batch of
bad acid, which is how I came to be living in Dallas for a while,
bouncing back to NYCity, living @ Abbie Hoffman’s Digger’s Free
Store, cooking & caring for the run-aways in my care, just on-time
to have missed out on the March on Washington, The Chicago Riots,
& to have missed going to Yasgar’s Farm in a little town in Up-State NY

Between the Summers of 1968 and 1969 I'd had a very full dance card. crazy

Graduating from high school, still a virgin & touring all of Europe with my mother for a full 6 weeks (graduation present).
It was also the same year, I smoked in front of my parents.

I was, um, negative 3. My sister was negative 1, it is possible my parents were married that year, so things were rolling in the right direction for there to be a me.

Sheesh!

Did anyone listen to the "TIME (Has Come Today)" ?

It was actually the crux of the Entire Thread.

I'd up-loaded it for a friend who'd never heard it and
figured I'd share a slice o' "GEEZER ROCK" wit ch'all.
