Not as funny when the guy playing him has earlobes. My Aussie friends have shown me a number of Chopper parody clips. Must be that deeper layer of humor stuff beyond my ken because I just don't find it that funny. Could say the same for most SNL stuff too though.

If that's a way of telling a mate
to get tough enough to take a joke,
then it certainly applies.

I shouldn't be at all surprised since they
seldom mince words among themselves. wink

I have my fair share of Aussie friends (they are well represented in Japan) and the differences between them and in and amongst groups of them is as different as any other random set of human beings - and I never noticed them to mince words less or more among themselves or when not among themselves for that matter.

Good thing I have spent time with so many Australians or I might start to develop a prejudice as this AusMac guy does have much that distinctive holier than thou attitude about him as that other Aussie, "I will probably never speak to you any of you again" Treebeard.

Was that the time 23,000 people were dead & missing
while everyone here was wracking on about X-Mas swag?

If I recall, we hadn't gotten the news yet...
...but he had no way of knowing that.

I don't remember him saying much after being informed,
...but that didn't stop a 6 page gang-up on our part.

...That "Treebeard"?

That was only one instance, but yes that was the instance I was referring to.
