Pretty much like our friend padmavyuha,
the United Kingdom take delight in word play,
riddles, puzzles and double (often triple) entendres

That's why we Americans can only get a single
layer of "Monty Python's Flying Circus"...

They take delight in pushing the use of the
"English" language way beyond the envelope.

Parenthesis because even the language itself
is broken down into sub-sets that they ALL
insist is the Purest Form of..... w/e
Queen's English, Common English, Australian
English and American English...
"...and never the twain shall meet."

over-all
it's pretty harmless with no offense intended.

Not really, paddy does it in a non-malicious tone, to be funny or creative, he's not out to spar every post.

I do believe offense was intended, as in htfu?

I'm still trying to figure out what htfu even means,

but due to the 12/14 hour time difference,
I'm not about to hold my breath.

Well Cel it's probably on some deeper layer of meaning that Americans can't ever fully grasp.

Htfu appears to mean "harden the fxck up". Sounds like something better placed in the "I'm above average" thread.

I enjoy the heck out of all the above....
I would leave it to the author to say "no harm intended"... thanks for the peace talks though. cool
