Grew up with 70s, 80s music. Totally love it.
There are people who claim disco is alive and well in some of todays music.
I believe it and hear it.

Indeed... memories of "Growing Up"

The Socially Conscious Movement of the 70's
had an impact and left a lasting impression.

As great as the music in that Midnight Oil song
is, the deeper more powerful meaning behind it
commemorates a Nation's decision to come to
terms with it's past, in order to move forward.

Quote:

How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent, now
To pay our share

How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning

Never loose that "IDEAL", our ability to discuss,
understand, and make things better for EVERYONE.

From the Abolition Movement, to Full Gay Rights

Just about every "Earth Shattering" change, once
deemed impossible, began as Little A Seed that
once planted took root and gathered strength.

Paul Kelly -
"From Little Things Big Things Grow"

The "Little Thing" continued to grow from the
restoration of Land Rights for single band, to a
Treaty between whites and the Aboriginal Peoples,
to the Honoring of The First People through song,
dance & ceremony ushering in the New Millennium

until it became the Center-Piece of
the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics

**walks away whistling;
"from little things, big things grow...
...from little things big things grow"
whistle
