Yeah I see a lot more of that garbage talk. Most of which is just flat out lies or FUD.

Kinda shifted from how bad the OS is (was) to more about how bad Apple the company is.

I've noticed that, too, Carp.

I'm unimpressed, though. Apple is another big company, and how many companies have a checkered record on ethics? Most, I'd bet.

My wife's refurbed MacMini just went down after 6-1/2 years of reliable use. I don't know yet if I can resurrect it or not. Wednesday will tell when I have the time to open it up and see what, if anything, can be done.

Good luck, Michael!

My 20" iMac is about that old. Still works pretty well.

It seems that there are some software conflicts arising, probably due to the age of my computer. Running 10.6.8 because I still want Rosetta. iTunes has become especially wonky the last year-and-a-half or so, but still generally works.

Yet, my sweet wife is a Windows fan and runs through a windows computer every 2-4 years. I still love my Mac!

"iMac"? blush wazzat?

I'm still using my G4 2002 "QuickSilver"
on 10.5.8 ...tricked-out to the max, but
finally coming up against the Intel Speed-Bump.

as far as reliability is concerned...
there was some flap about 'Apple Not Recycling'
a few years back. I took to telling 'Window-Pains'
that "Apple Has It's Own Form of RECYCLING...
...we call it 'E-BAY'!" grin
