I'm trying to think of the movie that, I think, is based on a real killer.

As I recall, the plot is about a killer who with a sometimes helper, travels the highways in a van picking up women victims who he murders then dumps them out.

As I recall, they catch him by locating a safe deposit box that contains dozens of poloroids of victims who have been missing.

I can't name of the actor but can picture him. He's been in many films . He's got a not so handsome face.

It's an older film like in the 90's or such.

I was thinking it was based on Henry Lee Lucas but the real Lucas didnt quite fit this plot.

Dave

The BTK was localized in around Wichita. Don't think it was him. Or Ed Gein who was the inspiration for Psycho, I think

.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is a 1990 film crime psychological thriller film directed and co-written by John McNaughton about the random crime spree of a serial killer who seemingly operates with impunity. It stars Michael Rooker as the nomadic killer Henry, Tom Towles as Otis, a prison buddy with whom Henry is living, and Tracy Arnold as Becky, Otis's sister. The character of Henry is loosely based on real life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas.

Filmed in 1986, the movie was shot on 16mm in less than a month with a budget of $110,000.[1]

Celandine, that is a great link. I've often wondered who the hell is this guy - ? Finally got a name! grin

He's played every Mafia character known to man in movies & tv except for the Godfather. Talk about being typecast! laugh

Sam Elliot! What a surprise!!!!! I gather his distinctive sexy voice is more recognizable than his handsome face & beautiful thick long hair.
laugh
