Scalia today on the dissenting opinion on DOMA ; "We have no power under the Constitution to invalidate this democratically adopted legislation."
Yesterday, spearheading the activist majority ruling, he invalidated democratically adopted legislation with a f*cking smile on his face. Motherf*cking. Rightwing. Hypocrite.

Any men here interested in the subject he brought up about the Constitution and polygamy? I mean, could you guys handle some more wives?
Quote:
In his written dissent, Scalia declared that the Constitution "neither requires nor forbids our society to approve of same-sex marriage, much as it neither requires nor forbids us to approve of no-fault divorce, polygamy, or the consumption of alcohol." The majority’s opinion, he wrote, declares "open season on any law that (in the opinion of the law’s opponents and any panel of like-minded federal judges) can be characterized as mean-spirited."

I think Scalia is dead wrong when he includes polygamy (or polyandry) in the list. It would not be hard to demonstrate that either of those practices do cause harm to the people involved.
The inconsistency about VRA vs. DOMA is obvious, glaring. Scalia is pretty scaly. That's all.
