Well I was going to post an update and see you've already got a thread started for me. What gentlemen & thanks for the concern. She has had most of her tests now & the arteries actually look pretty good, it is just a matter of keeping the heart muscle contracting to prevent the congestive heart failure from occuring again. It apparently was brought on from damage from a previous undetected heart attack and stress. She is not going to have to have surgery if they can keep things regulated with medicine thank goodness. Thanks for all the best wishes and prayers they worked. She is so grateful for the support & was so surprised people who didn't know her were pulling for her. Now I have to figure out what to do about her computer situation. The old Performa she has is so slow & I don't know if she is going to be able to sit up to it for a while. She is going to be very limited for some time. She was already supposed to be taking it easy after a stroke last year but Dad can't keep her from vacuuming & light housework. He said she won't be doing any of it now. She loves the computer, crocheting & the Mariner's baseball games. So I'm either going to try to get her a refurbished iBook with my PS7 fund or lend her my laptop for awhile and pick up a refurbished iMac. Anyhow she is coming home within the next day or two so I am finally getting back to normal getting things done around here. But thanks again for the concern, we appreciate it very much and who knows maybe she'll pop in here one day.

Cheers, iRock
Drawing is the honesty of the art. Hi Shelli,

I'm really pleased your Mom's condition is treatable. Good news and I bet you're mightily relieved. I had a major scare with my Dad, (78), last October so I know a little of what you must be going through. Be assured, she will still be in our thoughts, and it will be so cool to have her drop in for a post.

You might want to announce the update over at MC as well since there's a lot of other concerned folks who inhabit MC first and foremost, and who may not check MM for a bit.

All the best,
M1.

More like Barbie doll. My Dad has always said he gets a Barbie Doll for Christmas every year.

Cheers, iRock
Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad.
— Salvador Dali
