I'm not really sure of which is the proper forum
to ask my question in, inasmuch as it involves a
Software Update to iOS6, on my iPhone 3Gs, that's
affected my iCloud account.

I'd waited to this long before UpDating, hoping
that they'd have time to Iron All the Bugz Out,
but here I am trying to figure out WTH happened.

========================

The update seems to have opened a flood-gate,
(most likely opened by default(?)) that filled my
entire allotted FREE Storage space in iCloud, 25Gs
where I'd NEVER Knowingly stored Anything At All! shocked

Apparently, the update Backed EVERYTHING Up to
iCloud without my explicit permission. frown

I was immediatly notified that "I needed to
Purchase MORE Storage"  it's already compromised
downloading from a Comcast Streampix APP

Whatever floodgate it opened, it took it upon
itself to back up stuff I'd NEVER have authorized!

========================

That's actually my point...
My G4 on OS5.8 CAN-NOT-MAKE-USE-OF-iCLOUD!
...which is now stuft with crap I cannot access anyway!

...that I'm being prevented from using to download
to a features that I Should be able to utilize
until I PURCHASE Additional Parking for that
which I cannot even see, much less access

ARGH!

dumping iDisk has been a disaster AFAIC! frown

========================

ANYWAY... My question is
Is there a way of VIEWING The Content of my iCloud
moreover,
REMOVING Unnecessary/Unwanted Back-Ups?

Thanx in advance.
Jake.

On your phone, Settings, iCloud, Storage & Backup, Manage Storage.

Or under Settings, iCloud.

Can I ferinstance,
dump any accumulated old mail off the server?
(I ain't done that since Kriste was a Corporal blush )

then do a second back up through iTunes?
...would that (and redoing my photo option)
get me more room in iCloud?

I guarantee it's not mail. Mail doesn't take up that much room to fill up storage. It's either photos, music, or movies is my guess. I take it you have a 32G iPhone?

Are you looking in, Settings, iCloud, Storage & Backup, Manage Storage?

Are you in this window?

No.. I have an iPhone 3Gs 8GB
I have over a gigabyte free space on the iPhone,
it's the FREE 25GB iCloud space that's full-up.

I don't use Mail through my phone, but you're
correct... it's only 256MB used

I'm assuming the open settings backed up my
entire iTunes AND iPhoto Collection frown
but I see no direct way of addressing that issue

Yes, I'd found myway there before I'd asked for help,
and followed your path there as well...
...it's more of less the same page,
but mine certainly doesn't offer the
"DELETE BACK-UP" Option (or I'd have done so.)

edit:

As far as I know
I've NEVER Backed-Up my iPhone to iCloud
I've always selected Back-Up To My Computer

That might account for
the lack of the "Delete Back-Up" option

that leaves iTunes/Movies & iPhoto/CameraRoll
as the suspects... Any suggestions?

Not sure which of the settings I'd fiddled with
did the trick, but the error message is GONE
and I have 23.6GBs of FREE Storage Space in iCloud!

I'd turned off "Back-Ups" in "Settings"

I plugged the iPhone into iTunes to check that
the settings were still set to
"Back-Up To This Computer"

Logged Out Of then back Into iCloud

Quit iTunes, Restarted the Computer

and when I went back into "Settings"
everything was back to normal! laugh

Now I have to decide
whether to burn down my kitchen...
...or clean up the mess I made trying to
learn how-to make FUNNEL CAKES. sick

I decided on cleaning it up
you never know
I may want to use it again
... one day. grin
