Voter turnout low around N.J., frown
...even in counties with high-profile races...

The year's biggest race — for the governor's office
— isn't expected to see much drama today. Neither
Republican Gov. Chris Christie nor Democratic state
Sen. Barbara Buono face strong opposition in the
primary, and they're expected to easily win their
parties' nominations.

I believe Australia (and probably not just there) requires people by law to vote. Not sure what I think about that, but it is an interesting idea. I can imagine outrage at such an idea in America already.

Indeed!
Failing to vote in all elections
is punishable by a levied fine.

Speaking for myself;
I've never failed to vote since
I couldn't be bothered in 2000.

Voters are fed up with the promises politicians make and they never keep them. More Bull---t all the time.

That's what I was thinking back in 2000...
...consider how different history might've been.

I was strongly in favor of VP. Al Gore, and as a
staunch environmentalist, was looking forward to
SOMETHING Finally Getting Done to increase mankind's
dwindling chances for survival on what's left of Earth.

...I switched off the TV just as the Balloons and
Confetti began to fall from the ceiling... everyone
was grinning and champagne corks were popping!

The next morning I woke up to this ongoing nitemare.

NEVER AGAIN!!! cry

Thanx smile

Interesting;
The only member of the UK on that map is Australia
I do know they require FULL Participation at even
the most local shire & hamlet elections.

I didn't vote in the last election. I had voted for Obama in 2008, I was hoping the Repubs would have a viable candidate in 2012 but that didnt work out.

Truthfully speaking i did not vote in the last election either. Living abroad it is hard to do and both candidates I did not want.
