What's everyone doing this summer? Landscaping the yard, home renovations, family vacations??? Speak up all!<br><br>Janet and I are taking a drive to Colorado Springs (where she went to college) making many stops on the way, and on the return trip, including 4-Corners (gotta take one of those pictures where we're standing in 4 states at once). For me its all work work.<br><br>I wish I was a school teacher.<br><br>Right now.<br>On my days off I am re-painting the interior of the house, searching for the right door stops etc the right home acessories.<br><br>Other projects.<br>Replace all lite switches with back lit toggle Levitrons.<br>Replace carpet with wood flooring.<br>Replace all doors with panel ones, instead of flush<br>Replace all closet louvered doors with Tahitian 4 inch slats instead of the Hawaiian 1 inch slat.<br>Replace all door knobs to a bright chrome Orbe type, instead of the tacky brass Tulup type.<br>Replace all vynal flooring, baths, kitchen etc with Marble or Italian ceramics. Some kind of stone would be nice.<br><br>Next year repaint the exterior of the house.<br>Replace the Natrual lawn "weeds" with something that looks like grass. I have already picked out a grass = Its sorta like a sea grass that can be watered with salt water - very hearthy and dense. I will pick up a tray this week to test it out.<br><br>
In other threads I've been bitching about no time off, well none since Thanksgiving anyway, and that was two days.<br><br>Well its not summer but on thursday we leave for Lake Powell to be on a houseboat with eleven other friends. Should be a great time, and much needed break from the lab. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate a little. The forecast for this week still includes snow!!! <br><br>

Only planned the spring.<br><br>Rake up the damn leaves I never got to in the fall with the quick snow fall.<br>Re-seed the lawn after the septic guys dug up 1/3 of my yard.<br>Ride lawn tractor and drink beer.<br><br>oh - and some Cocoa programming in between.<br><br>Summer will probably go like this<br><br>work, ride tractor, drink beer and program in Cocoa<br><br>No vacation plans until September, when Ginny graduates from business school. Then we'll go somewhere really nice for a week or two!<br><br>
Well, as you all know, I am going to spend a week in Hawaii in June (45 more days! , not that I'm counting ) and taking a long weekend sometime in Aug. probably to go to Houston to visit Sherman. (yeah, I know Sherman..haven't asked you yet! LOL I was just thinking of it tonight)<br><br>
