It is not done, at least among the Japanese, over here. So my guard ws off when a Canadian friend called me up and had me on a 5 minute odyssey before he final let me off the hook. I could've killed him the time, but in retrospect it was a fun.

Some people play elaborate pranks. I don't much care for them as they sometimes have unforeseen consequences. There was one recorded by a husband where he put on a ski mask and a dark sweatshirt then jumped out from inside the house as his wife and young kids opened their front door.
Not good at all.
