To those men behind the curtain NRA.
Last night RM had a great segment demonstrating how the tobacco industry's attempt to hide behind a "grassroots" smokers' rights group failed — and how, in comparison, the gun industry's attempt to hide behind the NRA is succeeding so far. So, take five, Mr. LaPierre, and let's bring a few of your pals to stage front.
The only thing that trumps $$ in politics is votes... ONLY if they think they might lose next time will the slush / hush $$ not matter any more. But it needs to be clear and overwhelming !

Fell free to let these "fine" folks know where you stand — directly.
Took me a bit but I figured by "RM" you mean Rachel Madow. Then it makes sense what you are saying as, she has been msnbc spokesperson for the ant gun group. She is very entertaining but far from a source for correct straight forward information.

Well like the gun theory its the person that owns it -- ya know guns don't kill , people do.
Which brings back my idea of taxing the shiit out of ammo ownership -> much like the gov did with cigarettes sin tax.
Believe me here a pack of cigs cost 9 bucks , 10 + in Waikiki . Make a bullet so expensive even the gang bangers won't use one.
You can't connect cigarets to ammo. Now you have a much better association with ammo to guns as gasoline to cars. A gun is no good without ammo as a car is no good without gas.
I would think that folks would want people to have ammo. That ishow they practice in order to be accurate and safe. Restricting ammo is like giving a person a quart of gasoline and telling him to practice driving.
People who shoot can go through a ton of ammo. I realize those not in the know might not understand but they need too. One just doesn't go to the range and go through a few rounds they can shoot hundreds.
Again, there are millions of legal gun owners and few of them harm anyone. It's not that they "need" to but they enjoy it. Like skate boarding, bird watching, drag racing, skeet shooting ( and the president is an ardent fan), like rodeo. Like any sport or activity. Like surfing. Skiing.
They gun is just like the tools they need for each of their activities

Actually, thanks for the links. I had several of them but not all.
I've been looking for another handgun. I sold my Smith and my Ruger .44 Mag a few years back to by a camera.
I've been thinking of the Beretta Px4 Storm in 9mm. It has the features I like. Single/double action with decocker. Full sze. When I get my CCL I can get a compact. The Px4 storm was meant to replace the current 92fs that is the military standard carry. But a mix up in the tests they didnt choose it. But for civilians this has been a good choice.
Are you kidding me one pack of cigarettes for almost $10. This is absurd. That would be a good reason to stop smoking alone. Here in the Philippines 25 cents a pack.
