I think we ought to go back to the state of law that, according to the Newshour last night, prevails in Turkey, where a woman who has been abused or beaten by her husband is returned to her husband because the police can't intervene between husband and wife. Now that strikes me as a law I can support.
Better yet - under Taliban law a man who even (thinks) his wife is unjust no need for proof , can kill her justifiably .
