In order to help eradicate the invasive brown tree snake population, authorities will begin to drop toxic mice on the island of Guam . The snakes have almost eliminated the native birds on the island .

The mice which are dead will be attached to streamers or some such gizmo to keep the mice in the trees so the snakes can get to them.
Interesting. I hope they have thought this through.
