The end of the Huff Post article doesn't point in the direction of sloppy journalism. I have no idea what it's all about anyways.
Er .. the article spells it out fairly accurately: NYT dude took a test-drive and had negative impressions; manufacturer rebuts. What's not to grok?
FWIW, I believe the author had a bad experience. I'm doubting the doom-and-gloom of the technology as a result (what? You've *never* had a bad experience with a gasoline-powered car?). After a far-too-long-delayed investment, electric vehicle technology is still in relative infancy and has much growing-up to do. Which doesn't mean it's not an avenue worth pursuing.
